What it is

Why brand identity impacts your SEO and social shares

Brand identity goes beyond your logo and colours. On the web, it encompasses everything that determines how your site appears in Google results, when shared on LinkedIn or Twitter, in WhatsApp previews and in indexing tools. A missing or incorrect Open Graph tag makes a link appear without an image on social networks, drastically reducing click-through rates.

Trakup systematically checks brand identity elements on every page: favicon presence and quality, Open Graph tags (og:title, og:description, og:image, og:url), Twitter Card, JSON-LD structured data (Organisation, WebSite, BreadcrumbList) and consistency between the SEO title and the Open Graph title.

These checks are performed page by page. A blog page without an og:image tag or an article without structured data is detected and surfaced in the report with the correction to apply.

Why it matters

What Trakup checks for your brand

Favicon and icons

Presence and accessibility of the favicon in formats expected by modern browsers. A missing favicon affects perceived professionalism and brand recognition in tabs and bookmarks.

Open Graph tags

Verification of og:title, og:description, og:image, og:url, og:type on every page. The Open Graph image is checked: presence, recommended dimensions (1200x630px), accessibility. A missing or wrong-format OG image degrades social shares.

Twitter Card

Control of twitter:card, twitter:title, twitter:description, twitter:image tags. Without these tags, shares on X (Twitter) display a plain link with no formatting, invisible in a busy feed.

JSON-LD structured data

Detection and validation of JSON-LD schemas: Organisation, WebSite, WebPage, Article, BreadcrumbList, FAQPage. Structured data allows Google to display rich snippets that increase click-through rates from search results.

How Trakup audits your brand identity

At each scan, Trakup crawls all pages and extracts Open Graph meta tags, Twitter Card tags and JSON-LD blocks from the source code. Each element is validated: presence, format, dimensions for images, consistency between different tags on the same page.

Anomalies are ranked by severity: total absence of OG tags on an important page is critical, an image with wrong dimensions is flagged as important, an overly long description is a recommendation. The report indicates the affected URL and the exact fix to apply.

Frequently asked questions

Open Graph tags define how a page appears when shared on social networks (Facebook, LinkedIn, WhatsApp...). Without these tags, networks display a generic preview with no image or controlled description, significantly reducing click-through rates on your shares.

Yes. Trakup detects and validates JSON-LD schemas on every crawled page. Invalid or incomplete schemas are flagged with the missing field and expected value.

Trakup identifies missing tags and provides the correction to apply. Implementation depends on your CMS or code: for WordPress, a plugin like Yoast SEO is enough; for a custom site, Trakup indicates the exact tag to add.

Both. Trakup verifies that the image URL is accessible (no 404), that its dimensions are within recommended ranges (minimum 600x315px, ideal 1200x630px) and that its file size does not exceed social platform limits.
