Know your site's stack to optimise it effectively
Knowing what infrastructure your site runs on is the first step to optimising it efficiently. A misconfigured CDN can cancel out all your performance efforts. An outdated CMS exposes your site to vulnerabilities. An underpowered host caps your TTFB regardless of your front-end optimisations.
Trakup automatically detects your site's technical components from HTTP headers, source code and DNS records: hosting provider, CMS (WordPress, Shopify, Webflow...), JavaScript framework (React, Vue, Next.js...), CDN (Cloudflare, Fastly, AWS CloudFront...) and domain information.
This information is available from the first scan, with no configuration. It gives you a complete view of the infrastructure in place and helps you identify components that could be the source of performance or security issues.
Why it matters
What you learn about your site
Hosting and server
Identification of your hosting provider (OVH, Hetzner, AWS, Vercel, Render...), server type (Apache, Nginx, Caddy) and server location. This information explains a large part of your TTFB and latency.
CMS and framework
Detection of the CMS or framework in use: WordPress, Shopify, Webflow, Wix, Drupal, Next.js, Nuxt, Astro... Each technology has its own optimisation best practices, which Trakup takes into account in its recommendations.
CDN and network performance
Identification of the CDN in place (Cloudflare, Fastly, AWS CloudFront, BunnyCDN...) and its configuration. An enabled but misconfigured CDN can block caching or even slow down certain requests.
Domain and registration
Domain expiry date, registrar, nameservers, key DNS records (A, AAAA, MX, TXT). Trakup alerts you before domain expiry to avoid any unintentional outage.

How Trakup detects the tech stack
Detection is entirely passive, with no access to your server or back-office. Trakup analyses HTTP response headers (Server, X-Powered-By, CF-Ray, Via...), meta tags and scripts in the HTML, and the domain's DNS records.
These signals are cross-referenced with a regularly updated signature database to identify components accurately. Information is displayed in the Information tab of your site dashboard, accessible at any time without re-running a scan.

Accuracy is very good for popular CMSs (WordPress, Shopify, Webflow, Wix, Drupal, Prestashop) and major frameworks. For custom stacks or heavily personalised sites, some components may not be detected if their signatures are hidden.
No. Detection is entirely passive: analysis of HTTP headers, HTML source code and public DNS records. No plugin to install, no admin access required.
Yes. Trakup checks your domain expiry date at each scan and triggers an alert if the deadline is within 30 days. The alert is sent by email and visible in the dashboard.
